José Pineda

Director of Sales

Jose took the helm at Del Cabo Weddings with well over a decade of experience working in weddings and corporate events, primarily in the luxury hotel sector. He is a big believer in creating and maintaining a healthy and respectful work environment, always encouraging the free flow of ideas and inspiration between his team members.

 

Happily, weddings have always been a family affair for Jose. In the small town on the west coast of Mexico where he grew up, his mother ran a bakery that catered exclusively to weddings. “Being behind the scenes as a child and seeing how these big, beautiful weddings were put together always drew my attention,” he says. To this day, seeing how an idea for ceremony or reception develops into the full-blown final product fills him with joy and excitement. 

 

Jose always seeks to build a relationship based on trust with all of his clients. “We all know that planning a wedding far away from home can create a certain level of uncertainty,” he says, “Which is why our high level of service and meticulous planning methods seek to make a true connection with the couple so that they can not just endure, but rather, enjoy the process in a comfortable and relaxed environment.”

Dayna Castorena

Wedding Planner

Dayna has been with Del Cabo Weddings for nearly half a decade, and she says the energy she takes to work with her every day comes from the faith that couples put in her to help them create and care for their most special of days. “What drives me to work in this industry are all those authentic moments, like the first look, when the couple sees their dream wedding has really come to life.”

 

During her tenure with Del Cabo, she describes her most challenging, but also most rewarding time as the 2022-23 wedding season after the pandemic restrictions were lifted. “Lots of challenges, but even more beautiful moments finally getting all those loving couples to the altar.”

 

Her personal motto is to live all of your days to the fullest; don’t miss the opportunity to wake up and be thankful for being in such a wonderful place. 

Alma Cortez

Wedding Planner

Alma worked successfully for many years in event planning before joining the Del Cabo team and fulfilling a life-long dream of becoming a wedding planner. Speaking about the amazing day she completed her first ceremony and reception, she says, “It was definitely worth the wait, being able to create and be a part of those moments that were so special for the couple and their families.”

 

She attributes the success she has had at Del Cabo Weddings to the high level of commitment she brings to each and every wedding she works on as well as her ability to truly listen to the wants and needs of each client. She understands that a wedding is like no other special occasion, and that providing the couple with a sense of peace and security is key to creating the perfect day. 

 

In her personal life, Alma takes great comfort in her family, and loves spending time with them at the beach, something she is fortunate to take advantage of quite often living in beautiful Los Cabos. Her great inspiration in life, she says, is without a doubt her wonderful children. 

Alessandrina Pagaza

Wedding Planner

Alessandrina believes that learning to foster true relationships with her clients, wherein she is able to empathize with their emotions and needs at such an important moment in their lives, has been the most vital tool to her success in the industry over the past 13 years. Central to this, she says, is “maintaining clear and fluid communication with the couple, listening closely to both their ideas as well as their concerns, in order to really understand their vision.” 

 

Having a positive impact on the lives of her clients gives her a great sense of purpose, knowing that her work will help to create memories for them and their guests that they will treasure forever. “Helping make those moments makes every single long day worth it.”

 

Alessandrina’s personal life is also full of love, especially since the addition of her dog Maika that she and her partner adopted in 2021, and making time for both of them is crucial to maintain the right work-life balance she desires. To this end, one of her guiding mantras is: No one simply “has” the time to do the things you want, you have to “make” the time.
